Outline

The project comprised the replacement and decanting of Wakefield Westgate Station and the development of a key part of the “Emerald Ring” in order to open up this development site for a major mixed use scheme. On completion the scheme will result in over 700,000sqft of development. The project is one of three key components of the Wakefield City Renaissance, which was founded by Yorkshire Forward’s Urban Renaissance programme.

Services Provided

Ben Aspinall was retained by English Cities Fund to procure regeneration funding. Ben prepared detailed cashflow appraisals to satisfy the “qualifying” and “eligible” expenditure rules for both Yorkshire Forward and Objective 2 respectively.
