AspinallVerdi advised developers Rushbond Group with respect to the economic viability case for this high quality and value project in central York. The former City of York Council offices were acquired by the developer and plans have been progressed for a comprehensive restoration and partial new build to provide 5 town houses, 29 grand apartments and 6 mews properties.
The property is Grade II Listed and lies in a high quality conservation environment where it will make a significant contribution to the area.
The project involved detailed market research, financial modelling and negotiations with the District Valuer in order to ensure that the optimal outcome in terms of an off-site commuted sum is provided.
Atam Verdi, Director at AspinallVerdi commented “this has been another instance where we have successfully achieved our client’s outcomes on a high quality heritage project where end values are exceptional. Rushbond have an enviable track record in providing high quality heritage schemes and we are very pleased to have helped to secure the delivery of this outstanding project”.
