Andy has almost 30 years’ experience in the delivery and funding of major regeneration projects. He is a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Town Planner with a degree in Real Estate Management and a Masters’ Degree in Civic Design (Town & Regional Planning) from the University of Liverpool.
Prior to AspinallVerdi, Andy previously spent over 20 years working in Strategic Development and Consultancy for several major surveying practices. Since joining AspinallVerdi in 2019, Andy has worked for public sector and developer clients on a wide range of strategic regeneration projects across the North West of England and North Wales.
Some of the sites he has worked on include: the masterplanning of a reimagined Birkenhead Town Centre; appraisals of Central Docks and Festival Gardens in Liverpool; the financial viability of a redevelopment of a cleared site for Fiddlers Ferry Power Station in Warrington; an affordable housing scheme for a Registered Provider on Horrocks Mill in Preston City Centre; and funding support for a large industrial scheme at Northern Gateway in Deeside.
Working alongside planning consultancies, Andy also regularly works on Employment Land Studies and recent commissions have included Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent, the city of Liverpool and Hyndburn in Lancashire.
Andy regularly engages with local universities and has recently lectured to Planning students at the University of Liverpool and Real Estate students at Liverpool John Moores University. He also sits on LJMU’s Practice Liaison Panel. In 2024, Andy was delighted to be asked to be one of the judges at NW Insider’s Liverpool Property Awards.
Away from work, Andy is (sadly) no longer an opening batsman or goalkeeper, but maintains sporting interests following the fortunes of Everton FC and Lancashire CCC. During the summer months he can regularly be found with his family on the Anglesey Coast.
