Tom has a broad and in-depth understanding of the development process, with expertise spanning masterplan viability, development viability assessments, options appraisals, strategic viability studies, business plan preparation, developer procurement, delivery strategies, and strategic site acquisition and disposal. He has played a key role in some of the region’s most significant regeneration projects, including the £300 million ‘Stockport 8’ development. He has also secured substantial funding for developers throughout the North West, with a particular focus on supporting local authorities outside of Manchester city centre.
Tom’s previous roles include working within local government, notably for the award-winning Stockport Mayoral Development Corporation. There, he led on the delivery of several major schemes across residential, office, industrial and healthcare sectors, and played a central role in the procurement of the developer for Stockport’s largest-ever residential regeneration project.
He currently advises a range of public sector clients across the North of England, focusing on unlocking large-scale residential development. His work includes providing masterplan viability advice and shaping overarching delivery strategies.
Tom is frequently appointed as a co-consultant to urban designers and architects, contributing viability and deliverability insight throughout the design process to help ensure schemes are both ambitious and achievable.
Outside of work, Tom is a self-confessed geek and a terrible, but determined, golfer.
